Today, I’ve got these chocolate peanut butter Shakeology balls that are PERFECT for on-the-go snacking and long days when you just need a little boost in energy! You only need a few ingredients and about 20 minutes from start to finish to have a great healthy and energy-packed snack to keep you going through the week.
If you follow me on social media, you’ll have seen that I just recently became a Beachbody coach. I’ve been doing Beachbody programs for years, but I never tried Shakeology, and I never did any of the challenge groups that coaches host monthly. When Beachbody came out with their All-Access pass around the new year, I decided to get that AND jump into my first experience with a challenge group so that I could be held accountable in preparing for my wedding and honeymoon this May (sweating for the wedding like crazy 😛 ). I ended up LOVING the challenge group so much, getting to discuss workouts daily with such an encouraging group of girls, staying on track, and actually seeing some crazy results by the end of it!
I ended up trying Shakeology in the process, as well, since I could upgrade my All-Access pass to the challenge pack with a month of Shakeology for a great deal, and I ended up falling in love with the shakes, too. Shakeology is now my quick breakfast before work in the pharmacy on early mornings, or it’s my post-workout snack on my days off. I didn’t expect for it to taste good (and I got the vegan flavors, which I doubly did not expect to taste good — vegan powders almost never do), but it’s actually just as good as everyone says it is. I’ve been having so much fun making different concoctions by adding just a little bit of frozen fruit to my daily vegan chocolate flavor.
We’ve been SUPER crazy this month at the pharmacy with it being right in the middle of cold and flu season, so there are some days I’ve been struggling to run away for a second to heat up my lunch or just forgotten to eat entirely. THESE BALLS are my remedy to that. They’re packed with protein, healthy fats, and fiber, so I can just pop a few of these and not be totally dying if I miss my lunch in the pharmacy that day!
These don’t require much in both ingredients or effort to quickly whip these up — all you need is some chocolate vegan (or regular chocolate) Shakeology, natural peanut butter, peanuts, coconut, honey, and some vanilla extract. Throw all those ingredients in the food processor, pulse them up, then shape them into balls. DONE.
Let’s also just take a moment to admire my absolutely adorable coffee cup that my cousin brought me over from Denmark!! It’s from our favorite store we went to about a zillion times while we were there, Søstrene Grene. Their cute housewares and craft supplies are absolutely gorgeous, and they’re super affordable, too! I can’t wait to go back to go shopping there again. 🙂
ANYWAY. Back to these balls! The flavor is veryyy overwhelmingly peanut butter, with the chocolate being the more subtle flavor paired alongside it, which I really enjoy in these. You can’t really taste the coconut — it’s mostly there just for some added fiber and texture. So if you don’t like coconut, no worries! You won’t even know it’s there. 😉
I’m already dreaming up more flavor combos with different combinations of nuts — a chocolate hazelnut one is going to definitely need to come up next!!

- 2 scoops chocolate vegan Shakeology (can use regular chocolate or your favorite protein powder)
- 1/2 cup peanuts
- 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
- 1/2 cup unsweetened flaked coconut
- 1/3 cup raw honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Combine all ingredients in a food processor, and process on medium speed until a dough comes together.
Using a small cookie scoop, scoop the dough into balls, and roll them in the palm of your hand to round them out.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
